Maruyasu - Shimizuoto Matcha

Maruyasu was established in 1872 and has since become a respected Japanese tea producer. Its representative, Yasushi Maeno, holds the prestigious title of Chashi Kyudan, one of Japan’s highest qualifications for tea specialists.

Shimizuoto is a first-harvest matcha produced by Maruyasu Tea. It has a light, mellow body with natural sweetness and minimal bitterness. Toasted notes and a distinctive hazelnut-cream aroma give it character, followed by a smooth, buttery mouthfeel and lingering sweet finish.

Best enjoyed traditionally with water rather than as a latte, allowing its subtle flavours to be fully appreciated.
