Gion Tsujiri is one of Kyoto’s most respected tea houses, celebrated for its premium Uji matcha and deep dedication to traditional Japanese tea craftsmanship. For generations, Gion Tsujiri has honored more than 800 years of Uji tea heritage, offering some of the finest tea Kyoto has to offer.

A matcha favoured by Sokuchūsai Sōshō of Fushin’an, the Omotesenke tea school, who bestowed its name, “Kiri no Mori”.

Kiri no Mori balances savoury umami with gentle sweetness and refined bitterness, complemented by a silky texture.
