Produced by Hoshino Seichaen in the mountainous village of Hoshino, Yame. They a tea master with over 70 years of expertise, this tin offers an exceptional ceremonial grade matcha made from carefully shaded, hand picked tencha leaves.

Hoshi no Mukashi is a traditional ceremonial matcha endorsed by the Edosenke Myoshinan school of tea.

Created to reflect the exacting standards and traditions of Edosenke Myoshinan, it offers an elegant and balanced character suitable for traditional preparation.

How to Prepare

Water Temperature: 70–80°C (158–176°F)

Matcha Amount: 1.5–2g (1 tsp)

Water Amount: 60–70ml for usucha
Whisk vigorously in an "M" motion with a chasen (bamboo whisk) until a creamy froth forms.

Tasting Notes

Exceptionally creamy with a balanced depth of umami, it reveals roasted, nutty notes reminiscent of sesame.
