Before First Use

Before using for the first time, gently soak only the prongs in hot water. This softens the bamboo and helps prevent breakage. Avoid soaking the handle.

Care & Precautions

  • Use gently—pressing firmly against the bottom of the tea bowl may cause the prongs to snap.
  • Do not place in a dishwasher.
  • After use, rinse with water and allow to dry completely before storing.
  • Store in a cool, dry place away from humidity, extreme dryness, heat, and direct sunlight.

My previous whisk was a generic one from Amazon. Once I started using the Tango Tanimura whisk, I had to apologise to all previous matcha for treating it so poorly. This really makes a difference. The froth and microfoam and the whole process is better with a good whisk. Definitely worth it.
