Every whisk is entirely handmade

Unlike mass-produced bamboo whisks, every Ryosai Kubo chasen is crafted by hand from a single piece of carefully selected bamboo. A single whisk can require several hours of skilled work spread across numerous delicate stages.

Before First Use

Before using for the first time, gently soak only the prongs in hot water. This softens the bamboo and helps prevent breakage. Avoid soaking the handle.

Care & Precautions

• Use gently—pressing firmly against the bottom of the tea bowl may cause the prongs to snap.
• Do not place in a dishwasher.
• After use, rinse with water and allow to dry completely before storing.
• Store in a cool, dry place away from humidity, extreme dryness, heat, and direct sunlight.
